The Black Keys Try Our Amps
The Black Keys recently stopped in Detroit to play The Fillmore Theater and we brought down two of our plexi repicas for guitarist/vocalist Dan Auerbach to try out, a Metro 10,000 series 67 replica and a JTM 45 replica. Dan loved both of the amps – he tried them at sound check and then used both for the show.
His usual amps were sitting on the floor, silent. The tone was just sick, and loud as hell. No attenuators in sight! We took some pictures from the side of the stage… the show was January 29, 2009.

I was waiting for this. TBKs sound is just so vintage/awesome. These boutique replica’s just fit perfectly in the wide perspective of their sound.

WOW! That looks like a match made in Heaven, Hell and all points in between! My favorite “gut check” guitar player and some incredible amps from the Hand-Built King, Metropoulos. A shining endorsement if there ever was one. Congrats guys.

That’s so cool. I saw them back on Fed. 5th and they put on an awesome show.
Does anybody know what type of Marshall he usually uses?
